Pre- New Year's/Opening Night ABAKUA Social on December 28th
3 weeks have passed since the merger of Empire Dance and You Should Be Dancing and the transition has been relatively seamless. The one thing that you may have notice that there is no ABAKUA Social scheduled for the second Friday of this month, December 14th. Fear not! If you love the music and vibe of that Friday night social that you used to attend at Empire then you will be excited to hear that it will be back with a bang starting December 28th to close out the new year!

The social is moving to the beautiful Club 412 of You Should Be Dancing!. There you will find all the amenities you will need to bring in the New Year right:

  • a large, dance floor with central air
  • a small bar
  • professional sound system
  • DJ Frankie Martinez
  • great people & great dancing

If this weren't enough to convince you, there will also be a special performance by Manny's Performance Project. This group consists of Level 2 (and above) ABAKUA students that have dedicated themselves to a 12 week training program that will culminate in their peformance at our social. The work will consist of classic mambo performance style as well a taste of theatrics, similar to ABAKUA's current presentational style.

You won't want to miss this special event on Friday, December 28th so mark your calendar now!
